Hungry Hikers
Online storefront for hiking/backpacking/cycling food and meals to take on the trail.
Goal: Create the storefront of the brand and enable an e-commerce shop using Shopify as the host/template/shop.
Duties: Front-end coding and project management. Shopify set-up and training.
Partner: Slow Loris Media, all design and visual elements (except photos).
Launch Date: April 2011
Centerforce
Resource center for people who are incarcerated or have a loved-one who is and how to break the cycle.
Goal: Major refresh of a very old and effective website. Managed by WordPress in a way to effectively deliver resources both evergreen and new and relevant. Challenges included: a design that worked with older computers and browsers and all eduction and economic levels.
Duties: Front-end coding and project management.
Partner: Slow Loris Media, all design and visual elements.
Launch Date: October 2010
Gimby - Government In My Backyard
Informational site relating government activities and agencies to local needs. Created by Understanding Government group.
Goal: Create a concept site allowing for various agencies and geographical districts to be related to each other and to issues they affect. All using a cohesive design and WordPress to power the connections and blogs.
Duties: Front-end coding and project management as well as fine tuning the concept.
Partner: Slow Loris Media, layout and other visual elements. Logo provided by an additional partner.
Finish Date: June 2010 (not available to the public).
The McCahill Group
Clean and unique design and implementation for The McCahill Group using WordPress to manage.
Goal: Modern and clean design to be integrated with WordPress.
Duties: Front-end coding and project management.
Partner: Slow Loris Media, all design and visual elements.
Launch Date: October 2010
Polly
Info page for Polly foot-care products. Flat HTML/Jquery site to provide dynamic and graphically based navigation to create a fun atmosphere. Jquery used over flash to allow for clean code and better SEO as well as ease of updating.
Goal: Took over the project where the graphical design and coding were not matching and made it work exactly to designer's specifications.
Duties: All coding and site architecture and recoding parts to be SEO-friendly and still have motion and playfulness. Design and illustration done by partners.
Launch Date: January 2010
Neutrabox
Flat HTML/Jquery-powered website to showcase and sell custom mailboxes.
Goal: Allow for motion graphics with a combination of Flash and Jquery for sliding tiles and popups to showcase the uniqueness of the mailbox.
Duties: Front-end coding and building out the site. Flash and design provided by partners.
Launch Date: April 2010
Soul of the Community
A website presenting the on-going findings of a multiple year study by the Knight Foundation.
Goal: Create a website broken up into community pages presenting data, but also allow blog engine to supplement data with resources from around the web.
Duties: Front-end coding of website and management of overall design.
Partner: XOXCO provided project management, UX design and community code and twitter feed code.
Launch Date: October 2009
Kearny Street Workshop
Complete redesign and restructuring of flat HTML site into dynamic workable WordPress site.
Goal: Allow clients to maintain and manage their site without the aide of a developer. Also allow site to remain active and alive with background and header customizations to promote or simply remain current.
Duties: Front-end coding of website and management of overall design.
Partner: Courtney Patubo provided all graphic design.
Launch Date: October 2009
